CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE

This 37,500-square-foot main office of Whitney Bank features traditional architectural design and includes a full-service branch, administrative personnel offices, an international department, trust services, commercial bankers, mortgage lenders and cash management services. A negotiated project, White-Spunner Construction partnered with Whitney Bank and Holmes & Holmes Architects to give the owner a high-end facility within budget and on schedule. White-Spunner Construction has completed branches for Whitney Bank in Foley, Alabama and in Daphne, Alabama.

MAWSS OFFICE RENOVATIONS

CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE

White-Spunner Construction provided general contracting services for the renovation of an existing building into business offices for Mobile Area Water and Sewer Systems. This project consisted of exterior and interior renovations of vacant former offices, retail and restaurant space and included all new electrical and plumbing. The building remained in operation throughout the entire construction process.

CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE

The Muses is an innovative, mixed-use urban residential development in Historic Central City in New Orleans. Boasting 263 apartment units in two 4-story buildings, this complex offers its residents style, convenience and the opportunity to “live green” through its LEED certification, the first property of its kind to earn this bold designation in the state of Louisiana. As The Muses proves, living green doesn’t mean living without. Residents enjoy every modern convenience, including an on-site fitness center, business center, private parking, two community rooms, outdoor gathering and recreation areas, and wireless internet.

CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE

White-Spunner Construction’s flagship LEED project was our own corporate headquarters, which received Silver-level certification from the USGBC and became the first LEED certified building in South Alabama. The 40,000-square-foot, 2-story building features an open floor plan with large tinted windows and numerous skylights, heat-sensitive lighting and water-efficient systems. LEED features incorporated into the building have reduced water consumption and increased ventilation by 40%, reduced energy consumption by 28%, and optimized energy performance by 35%. Other green features include zero light pollution, water-efficient landscaping, use of low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and certified woods, storage and collection of recycled material, indoor air quality control, and lighting control systems. About 70% recycled content was used during construction of this innovative office building.
