Citronelle High School

Project Overview

White-Spunner Construction was chosen as general contractor for construction of the new $22 million Citronelle High School. Our team broke ground in early 2015 on a new, 2-story facility located on a 13-acre site across the street from the existing school. The 97,000 square-foot North Campus consists of a brand new cafeteria and dining area, a media center and library, plus an auditorium complete with performance stage and theater lights. The facility also accommodates 37 high-tech classrooms, each equipped with SMART Board technology, as well as fully functional chemistry and biology labs. The building’s exterior incorporates a traditional design with brick veneer and EIFS accents, as well as a steel frame cupola with aluminum cladding adorning the roof structure. Its modern interior includes cost-saving features such as an energy efficient, sensor-based lighting control system and large, expansive windows.
