White-Spunner Construction Awarded Gulfport, MS Public Safety Center

White-Spunner Construction Inc. will be the general contractor on the Robert J. Curry Public Safety Center in downtown Gulfport. Construction is expected to take 16 months.

This 78,690 square foot, 3-story Public Safety Building features a structural steel frame with architectural precast exterior walls. The building will house courtrooms and the police headquarters. It is designed to meet stringent 200-mph wind requirements and to be in compliance with FEMA 361 requirements, and will also serve as a First Responder’s Shelter in the event of a hurricane.
