This 858,000-square-foot mammoth facility includes 43,000 square feet of retail space for furniture clearance items for one of the largest furniture retailers in the U.S. The $40 million facility sits on 62 acres in Pearl River, LA. The construction incorporated tilt walls, metal joists and green features such as an automated indoor lighting control system and a master remote control for exterior lights. More than one-half million cubic yards of earth, the equivalent of more than 50,000 fully loaded dump trucks, was removed from the site, and more than 25 major concrete pours yielded 50,000 cubic yards of concrete.
"We have contacts all over the country and that gives us a competitive advantage," he notes. ROOMS TO GO took occupancy of the facility on time and on budget in August 2009. "White-Spunner is top notch," says Jeffrey Seaman, President and CEO of ROOMS TO GO. "We had an existing relationship with them before, and we look forward to working with them again," he continues.
