For the Mobile Museum of Art, the City of Mobile chose to work with a construction manager who could meet the unique needs of what would be the city's newest showplace. The biggest challenge was to incorporate the museum's two existing buildings into the new facility. Both of the existing buildings were on different elevations, and it would have been more efficient to demolish both. However, the museum saved costs by keeping the two existing buildings and developing a transitional gallery between them. The project was completed on time and within budget, resulting in an elegant building to house objects of art for the city of Mobile and its visitors.
