This spring season has been a busy time for all of us here at White-Spunner Construction. Not only is our project list growing, but we have also been blessed with opportunities to continue giving back to our community.

WSC was a participant in Government Street Christian School's Career Day on Friday, April 24th. A few of our employees volunteered their time to speak to the 6th, 7th and 8th grade students at the school about potential careers in the construction industry. The students were able to interact by asking questions and viewing examples of some well-known projects we have completed in the Mobile area. They were also given the opportunity to try on safety gear such as harnesses, hard hats, glasses, gloves and vests.

WSC was also honored to help fund the AIA Mobile Chapter's Service Project for Victory Teaching Farm in midtown Mobile. Originally scheduled to take place April 18, the workday for this project was rescheduled for Saturday, April 25 which caused a lower turnout than expected. However, the project was still a huge success as the crew was able to help with 3 large raise beds and two potting tables, set two outdoor veggie sinks and lay 162 concrete pavers - all of which was completed in about five hours!

White-Spunner Construction would like to thank Government Street Christian School and the AIA Mobile Chapter for giving us the opportunity to teach kids about careers in the construction industry and for allowing us to help out with construction needs for a local nonprofit organization in our community!
